Mammoth Skeletons and the Blue Whale

Mammoth Skeletons and the Blue Whale

Thanks to everyone who came along for the trip to London on Saturday. There was a big turn out and everyone had a lot of fun. We saw everything from dinosaurs to blue whales, earthquakes, meteorites and much more. It has been suggested that we visit the TATE or TATE Modern so if you’re interested, let us know. We also have a few more excursions planned before Christmas, including Aladdin at the King’s theatre and, of course, the big Christmas Party. We may have karaoke this year so get your singing voices ready!!

Student Work Placements

November 10th, 2009

For the past few months, Meridian School has been working in conjunction with Sistema Turismo and Training Vision to help students who want to come to the UK, learn English and find useful work placements that will help improve their language skills as well as their CVs. We’d like to congratulate everone who has been involved in the programme so far, and say a big ‘well done’ to the two students below who are working as interns for Life Magazines and Navigate – the two-page fashion article below was researched and written by Elisa Franzoi and Camilla Marchi (pictured at the bottom of the article). Excellent work, and we hope to see more of the same from the rest of our students. Keep it up!!

Teacher Daniel's Great-Great-Great Grandfather!!

Well done to all of our students who were brave enough to come to Chessington. We had a great day, some of the rides were very frightening, others were funny, and some of them got us all soaking wet!!! It was also really good to see all of the animals there, including Teacher Daniel’s great-grandfather who hadn’t been seen for some time but was luckily spotted by Hesham. Thanks to all and we look forward to our next trip.
